They have had their chances — and blew them.

Republicans have run America for two years.

  1. President
  2. Senate
  3. House of Representatives
  4. Supreme Court

For two years, the Republicans have had their way, with the Supreme Court ruling for Republicans on virtually every important issue, and Congress being nothing more than a Trump lapdog.

Given such massive power, this is what the Republicans have “accomplished”:

  1. Cancel the Iran treaty. Promise no war. Start the Iran war.
  2. Cause the oil shortage
  3. Deny there is uncontrolled inflation: Energy/ food costs soar
  4. End healthcare insurance for millions
  5. Make the richest 5% richer — make the rest of us poorer
  6. Create a lack of affordability that is destroying families
  7. Foment hatred and racism.
  8. Deny election results, threatening democracy.
  9. I.C.E. illegal Gestapo cruelty tactics — 35,000 children separated
  10. Punish the media for unfavorable news.
  11. Refuse to obey court orders.
  12. Make enemies of allies
  13. Hide Epstein files
  14. Fire experienced generals, Hire Hegseth
  15. Support of Putin’s communist dictatorship–Blame Ukraine for war
  16. Deny climate change
  17. End support for renewable energy. Support coal instead.
  18. Anti-vaccination — measles death and illness
  19. End support for medical R&D
  20. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history.

Now Trump makes plans for martial law if they lose the elections. And they want our votes??? Do they think we are that stupid? Are we?

  1. NEWS FROM CORRUPTION CENTRAL

A billionaire wanted a Trump pardon. His family gave Alina Habba a $50 million deal

    (Times Exclusive)

WASHINGTON — Julio Herrera Velutini really wanted a pardon.

A billionaire banker from a prominent Venezuelan family, Herrera faced felony bribery charges in the United States and struck an unusually lenient plea deal in August 2025 for a misdemeanor campaign finance violation. But he felt that reduced charge was still a stain on his record.

So Herrera deployed his lawyer, Christopher Kise, the former Florida solicitor general who was on President Donald Trump’s personal legal team, to help with a plea for clemency. His 27-year-old daughter, Isabela Herrera, who is a U.S. citizen, donated $3.5 million to a super political action committee tied to Trump. But as of last fall, the pardon remained elusive.

Then the Herrera family hired Alina Habba, who had been one of Trump’s personal lawyers and at the time was an adviser at the Justice Department. They offered her $10 million a year for four years along with a range of bonuses. In total, including bonuses, she was guaranteed more than $50 million over four years, according to interviews and documents obtained by The New York Times.

Under the agreement, Habba would become general counsel at Concord Partners, a company that Isabela Herrera set up in late October 2025 in Florida. The company has no public profile, and its business remains unclear even to some people associated with the Herrera business empire. Habba finalized her deal days after the company was registered while she was still serving as U.S. attorney in New Jersey.

She formally began her work for Concord Partners on Jan. 1. Weeks later, Trump granted Julio Herrera a full and unconditional pardon.

By then, Habba was a senior adviser to Attorney General Pam Bondi, overseeing U.S. attorneys. She had an office at the Justice Department and a protective detail from the U.S. Marshals, a holdover from her time serving as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey.

The sequence of events raises questions about how Herrera secured the pardon and who might have helped him. People familiar with Habba’s contract said they believed that she was brought in to help with Herrera’s push for a pardon and expressed surprise at the scale of the compensation.

Habba denied any role in the pardon.

Any insinuation that my employment — all of which has been vetted and disclosed to the DOJ — had anything to do with securing a pardon is false,” she said in a statement.

Habba was a special government employee at the time, which allows individuals to work for the federal government for up to 130 days and maintain outside employment with conflict-of-interest restrictions.

Habba declined to discuss her work for Concord.

Isabela Herrera and Julio Herrera did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Neither did their companies. In a statement, the Justice Department said Habba did not speak to anyone about a pardon.

A White House official said that Habba had nothing to do with the pardon and that the administration follows a pardon review process that includes the White House Counsel’s Office and the Justice Department.

In Trump’s second term, a pardon industry has sprouted up, with wealthy criminals paying well-connected lawyers, fixers and lobbyists to appeal to the administration and its allies in an effort to secure pardons. Many pardon seekers have come to the conclusion that supporting Trump and his political agenda is the fastest way to secure clemency.

Some people looking for pardons have reported paying hundreds of thousands of dollars or even $1 million to hire people promising access to the president or influence over the pardon process.

For Habba, the job from the Herrera family came at a pivotal point in her life and career.

She resigned in December 2025 as U.S. attorney in New Jersey after a panel of federal judges ruled that her appointment by Trump had been carried out unlawfully. Her second marriage was also falling apart.

The arrangement with the Herreras provided her with a new level of financial security. She also found new love. Shortly after the pardon was issued, Habba started dating Turhan Mildon, a Turkish investor.

They were married last month in a lavish ceremony in New York. The guest list included Attorney General Todd Blanche; FBI Director Kash Patel; and Will Scharf, the White House counsel.

The couple are now engaged in high-profile feud with Richard Grenell, a longtime Trump ally. Habba has accused Grenell of misallocating a donation from her husband to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which Grenell was running at the time. Grenell has denied her accusations, calling them absurd.

Habba brought those accusations directly to Trump, who directed Scharf to investigate them. The Times has previously reported that the investigation centers on a bank transfer from Congo to a Texas defense company.

Julio Herrera, who also has Italian citizenship, is a member of the Herrera family, a banking, real estate and fashion dynasty that dates back to the 14th century. The family owns estates and castles in Caracas, Venezuela; the Canary Islands; Spain; and Germany.

Julio Herrera founded a bank based in Puerto Rico in 2008.

In August 2022, he was charged for his role in a scheme to bribe Gov. Wanda Vázquez of Puerto Rico to dismiss a regulator who was investigating the bank. Herrera, Vázquez and a former FBI agent who had worked as a consultant for Herrera all pleaded not guilty to felony charges.

Kise helped negotiate a deal with the Justice Department under which Herrera pleaded guilty in August 2025 to a single misdemeanor campaign finance charge. Vázquez and the former FBI agent also pleaded guilty to misdemeanors, disappointing career prosecutors who had pushed for harsher sentences.

All three were pardoned by Trump at the same time, shortly before they were scheduled to be sentenced for the misdemeanor charges.

In July, Banvelca, the Herreras’ family office since 1781, announced that Isabela Herrera, a member of the eighth generation and Julio’s daughter, was assuming leadership of the company. Neither the news release nor her bio on the company’s website makes any mention of Concord Partners, the vehicle employing Habba, who now goes by her married name, Mildon.

  2. Trump Isn’t Just Abandoning Ukraine. He’s Helping Putin. From sanctions relief to blocked weapons, the pattern is becoming impossible to ignore. And Republicans are letting it happen.

    Adam Kinzinger Oct 21

Over the past few months, something extraordinary and deeply disturbing has been happening in American foreign policy. The United States, once the leader of the free world and the country that helped defeat the Soviet Union, is increasingly making decisions that benefit Vladimir Putin while undermining Ukraine’s ability to defend itself.

From easing sanctions on Russian energy to restricting critical weapons transfers, pressuring Ukraine to stop striking Russian oil infrastructure, and attacking President Zelensky, the pattern is impossible to ignore. And yet, where are the Republicans who spent their careers telling us how tough they were on Russia?

Russia has suffered staggering casualties and still occupies less than a fifth of Ukraine after years of war. Ukraine has demonstrated that Putin can be defeated. But instead of helping bring that defeat about, Trump is making it easier for Russia to continue its aggression.

This isn’t about being a Democrat or a Republican. It’s about whether America still stands for freedom, democracy, and the principle that powerful dictators don’t get to conquer their neighbors.

Ronald Reagan would be horrified by what his party has become. And history will not be kind to those who remained silent.
