In 1934, German voters approved the vesting of sole executive power in Adolf Hitler.

Having learned nothing from history, the U.S. Supreme Court, in two cases — Trump v. United States, July 1, 2024, and Trump v. Slaughter, June 29, 2026 —did exactly the same thing.
