Monetary Sovereignty

THOUGHTSs

•All we have are partial solutions; the best we can do is try.

•Those, who do not understand the differences between Monetary Sovereignty and monetary non-sovereignty, do not understand economics.

•Any monetarily NON-sovereign government — be it city, county, state or nation — that runs an ongoing trade deficit, eventually will run out of money no matter how much it taxes its citizens.

•The more federal budgets are cut and taxes increased, the weaker an economy becomes..

•No nation can tax itself into prosperity, nor grow without money growth.

•Cutting federal deficits to grow the economy is like applying leeches to cure anemia.

•A growing economy requires a growing supply of money (GDP = Federal Spending + Non-federal Spending + Net Exports)

•Deficit spending grows the supply of money

•The limit to federal deficit spending is an inflation that cannot be cured with interest rate control. The limit to non-federal deficit spending is the ability to borrow.

•Until the 99% understand the need for federal deficits, the upper 1% will rule.

•Progressives think the purpose of government is to protect the poor and powerless from the rich and powerful. Conservatives think the purpose of government is to protect the rich and powerful from the poor and powerless.

•The single most important problem in economics is the Gap between the rich and the rest.

•Austerity is the government’s method for widening the Gap between the rich and the rest.

•Everything in economics devolves to motive, and the motive is the Gap between the rich and the rest..

  1. Here is what Trump’s spokeswoman said was the reason why Trump fired Comey:

“We want this to come to its conclusion, we want it to come to its conclusion with integrity. And we think that we’ve actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen.”

That was Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House deputy press secretary, admitting that Trump fired Comey to affect the investigation.

So all Trump’s denials and claims about being dissatisfied with the investigation of Hillary Clinton, now have been proved false.

He fired Comey to affect the investigation of “the Russia thing.”

    Classic obstruction of justice.

What say you now, Professor Dershowitz?

  2. A guy who publicly says “I can shoot somebody and nothing would happen” or “they can go F—K themselves” is not going to be impeached by a Republican congress until there’s a groundswell that threatens the GOP in the next cycle, 2018. That’s when the worm is going to turn, especially if more dirt turns up between now and then…and which appears likely.

  3. Although Steve Bannon may have been out of the limelight and allegedly fallen out of don Donald’s favor, what is currently unfolding is a clear pattern following a Steve Bannon script : bring down or dismantle America and its institutions and reconstitute it exclusively for white folks only. Donald Trump’s presidential incompetence is perfect fodder for this plan.

Trump himself has of course very obviously exhibited traits of bigotry, xenophobia and racism so it’s no surprise that he’s sympathetic to this proposal.

Anyone who still cares about the values upon which America was founded should view the current regime as a clear and present danger.

    1. Yes, that is Bannon’s philosophy. But, I question whether Trump has a political philosophy.

I suspect he is a spontaneous, seat-of-the-pants operator, not a deep thinker. His interests are money and adulation. He does what feels right today, and tomorrow changes to what feels right that day.

Bannon may have stopped telling Trump how great he (Trump) is, and so was pushed aside. That will change if Bannon again begins to pretend to worship Trump.

    2. Steve Bannon need not have to court Trump’s favor to execute his plan. All he needs to do is let Trump be. The sheer scale of don Donald’s incompetence and destructiveness will see to it that the plan gets through.

In fact, maintaining a low profile and staying in the shadows while the destruction proceeds apace might be exactly what Steve Bannon prefers.
