MONETARY SOVEREIGNTY
Very close to the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, justifies the war in Ukraine as a sort of crusade against countries that support gay rights. Same dude also once made the news for saying gay marriage is like Nazism. Maybe some morning those smug twits on Fox & Friends can confirm just how many drug addicted gay nazis have been captured or killed thus far during the ‘special military operation’.
As someone who has spent time (albeit nearly two decades ago) in both Russia and Ukraine this war really pulls at my emotions in different ways. The knock on effects in the agricultural commodity markets will get really interesting. Another round of civil unrest in places like Egypt is probably in the cards for the months ahead.
