The clear message from our President

I only started the war so MAGAs would forget Epstein, and now they (not me) are in deep sh*t. It’s not my fault. It’s all Israel’s fault. They knew I had no brains, so they told me I could win this thing in two days. No, wait. It’s all Hegseth’s fault. He should have planned for this. No, wait. It’s the Democrats’ fault for not giving Hegseth $200 billion for more lobsters.  No, wait, it’s all NATO’s fault for not opening the Strait even though we don’t need them. No, wait, it’s all Stephen Miller’s fault for not warning me. No, wait. It’s all Biden’s fault because of his kid’s laptop. No, wait. I have a secret plan to kill all the Iranian men, women and children. We have plenty of oil, so prices won’t go up. No, wait, we eliminated Iran’s nuclear ability last year, but now this year, they were just about to get the bomb. No, wait. I never touched that 14-year-old girl. No, wait. There is no inflation, and the economy is doing great, the greatest ever. No, wait. I inherited a terrible economy. No wait. We’re winning … somewhere. Hey, they believe me …in Wyoming.

  1. Key takeaways

Not going to end well’: Trump goes off in unhinged rant, makes threat to cover his tracks — but the internet zooms in on one detail he can’t run from

    • Energy Tensions: Trump claims the U.S. had “nothing to do” with Israel’s strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, though reports suggest the attack was coordinated with U.S. approval, escalating regional energy risks.
    • Escalation Threats: Trump warns that if Iran attacks Qatar again, the U.S. could “massively blow up” Iran’s gas facilities, while insisting he hopes it doesn’t come to that.
    • Public Backlash: Critics highlight contradictions in Trump’s narrative, noting the administration may be trying to distance itself from an escalation it quietly endorsed, sparking widespread online debate.

  2. A petition supporting a challenge to President Donald Trump’s efforts to end birthright citizenship is nearing a target of 200,000 signatures.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case, Trump v. Barbara, on April 1.

Trump’s birthright citizenship order, signed on the first day of his second term, declared that children born to parents who are in the United States illegally or temporarily are not American citizens.

The restrictions have not taken effect anywhere in the country after lower courts struck down the order as unconstitutional, or likely so, even after the Supreme Court limited judges’ use of nationwide injunctions in a ruling last year. The High Court agreed to consider the constitutionality of Trump’s order in December.

  3. Very soon, Trump will toss Hegseth under the bus. “It’s all Hegseth’s fault.”

Hegseth hits historic low amid Iran war

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is facing historically low approval ratings during the ongoing U.S. conflict with Iran, with polling showing him far less popular than past wartime counterparts.

Analysts say his combative stance toward the media and U.S. allies, coupled with public skepticism about the war’s purpose, has fueled the decline.

The administration’s escalating attacks on the press, diplomatic rifts, and lack of clear war objectives risk deepening political and public backlash.

    • Press Criticism: Pete Hegseth framed his Pentagon briefing as speaking directly to patriotic Americans, accusing a “dishonest and anti-Trump press” of downplaying military progress and amplifying costs.
    • War Messaging Chaos: The administration’s communication on Iran operations has been inconsistent, with announcements via Truth Social, phone interviews, and limited press access, raising concerns about clarity and potential long-term conflict costs.
    • Media Control Efforts: Actions include restricting press credentials, threatening broadcasters via the FCC, and increasing oversight of outlets like Stars and Stripes, signaling an unprecedented attempt to influence coverage and challenge media independence.

  4. Listen up, MAGA and fellow travelers:

    1) A decent social welfare state.

    2) Endless war.

    3) All-volunteer military.

Pick TWO out of three. Because in the long run, that’s all that you can have. It’s as solid a law as thermodynamics or gravity, and no amount of money printing will change that. Best to jettison #2. 5150, 25th Amendment, and War Powers Resolution with actual teeth, YESTERDAY!
