Mitchell’s laws:
●The more federal budgets are cut and taxes increased, the weaker an economy becomes.
●Austerity is the government’s method for widening the gap between rich and poor,
which ultimately leads to civil disorder.
●Until the 99% understand the need for federal deficits, the upper 1% will rule.
To survive long term, a monetarily non-sovereign government must have a positive balance of payments.
●Those, who do not understand the differences between Monetary Sovereignty and monetary non-sovereignty, do not understand economics.
●The penalty for ignorance is slavery.
●Everything in economics devolves to motive,
and the motive is the gap.

There are two sides to every argument, and this post will present the one side that seems to be absent from the street protests in Europe and America.

The other side is free to argue its logical and factual points, and we’ll print them, but please, no swearing or insults:

Forget that Hamas aims its rockets at civilian areas.

Forget that Hamas intentionally places its citizens in harms way, by storing armaments in schools and hospitals, and encouraging people to remain in targeted areas.

Forget that Hamas also fires rockets from civilian areas in an attempt to encourage return fire that will kill citizens.

Forget that, contrary to popular wisdom, all of Gaza is not crowded with civilians, but rather that there are many acres of open areas from which rockets could be fired — but Hamas prefers to use their civilians as human shields, and even encourages their citizens to stay in dangerous areas.

Forget that Hamas fighters look exactly like Gazan civilians, there being no uniforms to differentiate them in street fighting.

Forget that Israel, alone among all nations, actually has tried to limit civilian casualties, and even warned civilians of coming raids. Who does that?

Forget that every war in world history has killed many, many civilians. Consider WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and all the civil wars in the middle east, all of which involved the deaths of innocents, yet Israel alone is criticized for wartime fatalities.

Forget that Palestinian suicide bombers intentionally murdered Israeli civilians, and only a wall was able to prevent more murders. Where were the street protests in Western nations?

Forget that the so-called “blockade” of Gaza applies only to weapons, and that Israel, in a humanitarian gesture, supplies Gaza with electricity, water and water pumps, gas, food, medicine, and all non-military items, much of which has not been paid for by Gaza.

Forget that “trading Gazan land for peace” did not bring Israel any more peace — in fact it brought less, a launching platform for rockets at Israel — and that not one nation on earth is willing to guarantee Israel that providing Palestinians with more Left Bank land would bring peace to Israel.

Forget that the misery in Gaza has been caused by Hamas, which used the millions of dollars worth of assets it has been given to build a war machine, not to help the people.

Forget those expensive tunnels made specifically to attack Israel, and to kidnap Israeli citizens, so to trade them for terrorists.

Forget that Hamas has been judged to be a terrorist organization, and fighting terrorists is every nation’s obligation.

Forget that Israel accepted a cease fire, which Hamas rejected and continued to fire rockets into Israel.

Forget that Israel repeatedly has been attacked by Arab and Muslim nations — populations that outnumber Israel 1000 to 1 — again and again and again.

Forget that Israel owns a minuscule sliver of land compared to the millions of acres owned by Arab nations, yet none of these nations has volunteered any of that land to the Palestinians.

Forget that it is impossible to negotiate with someone who denies your right to exist.

Forget that Hadassah hospital, the best hospital in the middle east, paid for by Jews, has many non-Jewish patients, nurses, doctors and other employees– including Arabs.

Forget that Jews historically have been discriminated against, tortured and murdered in Arab and Muslim countries.

Forget that Jews settled Palestine more than 3,000 years ago, and have more claim to that land than any other religion.

Forget that the borders of almost every nation on earth (including America) were determined in wars, yet there is no call for these nations to “return” any land.

Forget that as a result of the “Arab Spring,” hundreds of thousands of Arabs have been killed – by other Arabs — yet there are no protests in Western countries.

Forget that Hamas not only kills Jews, but also kills Christians, while Christians live in peace, in Israel.

Forget all those things, because after all Israel is judged on a different standard from any other nation on earth.

Why Israel is judged on a different standard from any other nation on earth?

Hmmm . . . Pretty obvious, isn’t it?

1. Maintain or increase the FICA tax..
2. Spread the myth Social Security, Medicare and the U.S. government are insolvent.
3. Cut federal employment in the military, post office, other federal agencies.
4. Broaden the income tax base so more lower income people will pay.
5. Cut financial assistance to the states.
6. Spread the myth federal taxes pay for federal spending.
7. Allow banks to trade for their own accounts; save them when their investments go sour.
8. Never prosecute any banker for criminal activity.
9. Nominate arch conservatives to the Supreme Court.
10. Reduce the federal deficit and debt

No nation can tax itself into prosperity, nor grow without money growth. Monetary Sovereignty: Cutting federal deficits to grow the economy is like applying leeches to cure anemia.
Two key equations in economics:
1. Federal Deficits – Net Imports = Net Private Savings
2. Gross Domestic Product = Federal Spending + Private Investment and Consumption – Net Imports

Vertical gray bars mark recessions.

As the federal deficit growth lines drop, we approach recession, which will be cured only when the growth lines rise. Increasing federal deficit growth (aka “stimulus”) is necessary for long-term economic growth.

    1. [1] Rodger suggests that world opinion has double standards when it compares Iraq with Gaza.

      I agree.

For example, on 7 Aug 2014, Obama issued a statement declaring that, “When many thousands of innocent civilians are faced with the danger of being wiped out, and we have the capacity to do something about it, we will take action.”

      http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/08/07/statement-president

Since this statement is applicable to Palestinians being starved and slaughtered in the Gaza death camp, I assumed that Obama meant he was preparing to bomb the Israelis, and halt their endless atrocities and abominations. But, as Rodger suggests, double standards are involved. Obama’s statement was meant to justify the return of the US military to Iraq.

When Palestinians in the Gaza death camp are the “innocent civilians faced with the danger of being wiped out,” they don’t count.

      Double standards indeed.

[2] Regarding “ISIS,” I think the USA engineered the “jihadi invasion” as a pretext for the USA to re-occupy Iraq. “ISIS” in Syria is armed and equipped by the USA. The same people are now in Iraq.

Let’s look at this subject for a minute without the corporate media spin.

After the US invasion destroyed much of Iraq, the US government selected Nouri al Maliki as puppet prime minister in 2006. Maliki was from the majority Shiite population, and he collaborated with the US strategy of divide-and-conquer. Obeying US orders, and backed by US troops, Maliki oversaw the ethnic cleansing of Sunnis from Baghdad. The Sunni population had been 45 percent, but was ethnically cleansed to 15 percent. Countless Sunnis were driven from their homes and into the desert. This caused a civil war in which 3,000 people were killed each month. Maliki and his US handlers intentionally stoked this war by making sure that the new Iraqi security forces were constructed out of Shia militia forces.

Maliki also implemented the US policy of “de-Baathification,” i.e. the criminalization of the Baath Party that had ruled Iraq under Saddam Hussein. Most of the two million members of the Baath Party were Sunnis, and the vast majority had joined not out of any political convictions, but because this was the only way to advance in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.

When Saddam Hussein was a US asset, the Sunnis had oppressed the Kurds and the Shiites. After the USA invaded, the tables were turned. Now the minority Sunnis are oppressed.

In 2011, Maliki surprised and infuriated his puppet masters when he refused to sign the “Status of Forces” agreement, aka the “Bilateral Strategic Framework Agreement.” This agreement would let the USA keep as many troops in Iraq as the USA wished, forever, and with total immunity, no matter how many atrocities the US troops committed.

When Maliki refused to sign, the US decided to remove him, but then came the “Arab Spring” in several nations. The USA temporarily shifted its attention from Iraq to hijacking this “Arab Spring” and using it as an excuse to destroy Libya, launch a proxy war against Syria, replace Mubarak in Egypt, and increase drone strikes against separatists in Yemen (which has a lot of US oil wells).

Meanwhile Obama handed to Joe Biden the task of getting Maliki to sign the “Status of Forces” agreement. Biden was certain that Maliki would sign it, since Biden was convinced that Maliki could not stay in power without US support.

However Maliki would not sign. The Shiites were now dominant in Iraq, and they no longer needed the Americans. They wanted US troops out.

And so, many American troops did leave Iraq in December 2011. The USA meant this withdrawal to be temporary, but “temporary” stretched out for three years, during which time the USA and NATO destroyed Libya, but the Syrian government refused to fall.

When the US-led proxy war against Syria reached a stalemate, the US turned its attention back to Iraq, with the mission of getting Maliki out, and US troops back in (to take control of the oil wells).

In order to do this, the USA let Sunni resistance fighters (i.e. “ISIS,” which is armed by the USA) seize 30 percent of the Iraqi landmass, capture the nation’s second biggest city (Mosul), and move to within 50 miles of Baghdad. The USA also made sure that the world saw videos of (US-armed) ISIS people lopping off heads and slitting throats at every opportunity.

The US plan was to terrorize Shiites into doing an about face, and start begging for US troops and airstrikes to come back. It worked.

As for Maliki, last Monday (11 Aug 2014) the USA declared that he was no longer Iraq’s prime minister. Obama blamed him for the “current Islamic uprising” which in fact was masterminded by Obama. Obama said he would not help to defeat the (US-armed) jihadi invasion unless Maliki was replaced.

The Shiites bought it, and Maliki was forced to step down last Thursday (14 Aug 2014). He was replaced by a new puppet, the British-educated Haider al-Abadi, who has agreed to sign the “Status of forces” agreement, and let the US military re-occupy Iraq.

Now that Maliki is gone, and the Shiites are begging for the US military to return, the airstrikes have been continuing for seven days and nights. On 13 Aug 2014, some 130 US Special Forces soldiers landed in northern Iraq to choose targets for more airstrikes, and to prepare the way for a much larger re-invasion by the USA. The Pentagon has already sent almost 1,000 regular troops to Iraq.

The British are also preparing to send troops, and have already sent Chinook helicopters to help in the supply operations, plus reconnaissance planes to assist in the aerial bombardment.

On 14 Aug 2014 (the same day that Maliki stood down), French president Francois Hollande announced that he would send arms to the Kurdish militias fighting ISIS in northern Iraq.

“Humanitarian” considerations are irrelevant. It’s all about oil, and keeping Arabs divided and killing each other.

[3] It is easy to conclude that “ISIS” commits atrocities out of religious fanaticism. Therefore ISIS atrocities are “evil,” while US or Israeli atrocities are not atrocities at all, since every innocent victim in the Gaza death camp becomes a “human shield.” Every innocent victim of US drones becomes a “terrorist.”

However we are not shown the overall context in Iraq. We know that Sunnis in Iraq were marginalized and persecuted after the US invasion. To what extent is not fully clear, since the corporate intentionally withholds the full picture. Were the Sunnis subjected to atrocities? We don’t know, since we are not told. But if they were, then Sunni atrocities would be based on revenge and retribution, not on religious fanaticism.

The corporate media outlets withhold information so that the world sees “ISIS” in Iraq as madmen that can only be stopped by a US re-invasion.

They may indeed be madmen. Or not.

The point is that we are not given enough information to make a call.

Therefore we self-righteously condemn “ISIS” in Iraq as “religious fanatics” — which is exactly what the government wants us to think.

Meanwhile ISIS in Syria are called “freedom fighters.”

        1. 1.8 million people imprisoned, starved, and bombed in a walled-in, blockaded death camp are indeed victims. No amount of lies and sophistry can camouflage this. Meanwhile the death camp has just been reduced in area by 44%, because of the Israeli-imposed “buffer zone.” This means the victims are easier to slaughter.

As for the rest of my comments, they were meant as rebuttals to your own claims in previous blog posts that Muslims are evil because they supposedly fight for strictly “religious” reasons. Such claims are attempts to uniquely vilify Muslims. The truth is that all wars are about power. Religion is simply a veneer for power struggles. Note that I am not “defending” Muslims. For me, all religions are mental illness.

Incidentally I’m curious how you in your past comments could condemn evangelical “Christians,” when you know they fanatically support Israeli depravity. I would also be curious to know how you would feel if your daughter had married a Palestinian. In fact, how can you be left wing on most issues, but utterly, fanatically, pathologically right wing on this one? What personally happened to you to cause this?

Politicians lied us into Iraq, and they are now lying us back to Iraq.

Congressional Democrats are now saying that more U.S. troops are needed in Iraq. Today Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) said “We may have some boots on the ground there. That’s not something I want, but we cannot put our head in the sand.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis) says Obama has already met with eight or nine members of the Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees to discuss re-occupying Iraq.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich) says that Obama does not need a congressional vote for the re-occupation of Iraq.

          http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/08/17/congressional-dems-critical-obama-efforts-on-islamic-state-say-mission-is-lost/

Rogers says the USA is in more danger from Iraqi terrorists now than it was before 9-11 (even though Iraqis had nothing to do with 9-11). Rogers says ISIS is now “a terrorist organization with an army,” controlling tanks, helicopters, heavy artillery and more than $1 billion in precious metals and currency.

Donald Rumsfeld said the same thing about “al Qaeda” after the 9-11 false flag events. Rumsfeld falsely claimed that “Al Qaeda” had a global network of underground fortresses as big as cities, with arms factories, cafeterias, water treatment facilities, and so on. He said that each of these terror bases was massive, and some were even hidden under the ocean floor.

Next Rogers will falsely claim that ISIS in Iraq has WMDs aimed at Washington, just like Bush did.
